"Karikkathi Beach House" is located 19 KM south of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport & 8 KM south of Kovalam. 1000 sq.feet house on a 800 sq.metre seafront property. About 25 acres of palm grove surrounding this property is still thinly populated and least developed. The property is perfectly isolated for Honeymooners.

The nearest car access point is 400 meters away from the beach house. On arrival the walk from the Nagar Bhagavathi temple through the palm grove along the beach pathway is very relaxing, but not suitable for physically disabled as the earth is very uneven. The location of Karikkathi beach house enjoys outstanding natural beauty and stands second to none in this aspect. 100% income of this beach house is benefited by the local economy..

Accommodation

"Karikkathi Beach House has two double bedrooms with a linked lounge room in between. The roof is still kept thatched with palm leaf mats, on the continued suggestions from the guests who have stayed here. The rooms do not have air-condition or television. But they are naturally ventilated as well as by overhead fan. Since the house is both seafront and beach view, water is visible through all the windows of the house. Kitchen is adjacent to accommodation, ie- under same roof.

"The wide variety of dishes to choose from, and the open air dining at the magnificent lawn of the house is an inspiring seafront experience. The property has a second beach house now. This is rented out separately, when the guests are in need of more rooms

There are no mosquitoes in the rooms due to constant sea breeze. However for the confidence of guests, mosquito nets and mats are provided in the rooms.

Sirovasthy

This is a treatment for brain strength. This therapy is an excellent remedy for facial palsy, headache and various neurological disorders connected with the brain. Welcome to an Ayurveda Experience which is unique in Karikathi Beach House. The ayurvedic treatment done by experienced doctors only. The Ayurveda Diet is prepared under the direct supervision of the doctor for each individual guest . For this an exclusive chef is kept in the house. Pizhichil

Lukewarm medicated oil is applied on your body while you are lying on the "Dharapathi". The oil is selected after careful analysis of the person's character, body construction (physiological constitution of each individual), digestive power, etc. Oil dipped pieces of cloth are squeezed by hand and the oils rubbed smoothly over the body of the patient by masseurs on either side. The medicated oil is pressed out of the cloth uniformly over the body at a defined height and massaged gently in definite and rhythmic strokes.

Pizhichil is a classic rejuvenation therapy and it rejuvenates 'magically' the entire body, each cell deeply.

Pizhichil is a rare and special treatment of Kerala.
